Insurance
There are many risks in the world around us and not all of them can be avoided, though measures can be taken; we could install security cameras to protect our homes from thieves, we could make sure our cars are in the best working order before we drive on the roads or we could make sure our pets are fully protected from illnesses or injuries. However, despite of these incidents still happen, which is why another step is to take out an adequate form of insurance so that these occurrences don’t affect us financially.
Insurance is way for us to manage risk, by making an agreement with an insurance provider to cover us in the case of financial loss, should that financial loss be covered by the terms of the agreement. It means that even if the thieves manage to get past the security systems we have in place, we can still recover the costs of the items stolen to a certain extent if we have home insurance.
Likewise, for those who are still involved in an accident despite measures being taken to prevent it, car insurance can cover them as long as it is per the agreement of the policy, which is why it is compulsory to have at least third party insurance in the UK.
