Any good business owner has a budget written up and is following it as much as possible. As a part of this budget, marketing is included and business owners try to get as much out of it as possible. When it comes to email marketing, if you are a business owner, you might like it because it hits a larger target in terms of people and it is fairly inexpensive. Many people try to cut expenses even further by creating an email marketing strategy themselves with their own list or with a pre-made list. They create the sending schedule, the content and the links for the email and send off the letters themselves. Weeks later, after only the first campaign they are wondering why it didn’t work.
If you are one of these individuals then you have to understand there are certain ways to create an email marketing campaign. It is not as simple as writing some content and sending it to a lot of people. If you don’t have the right subject line people won’t even open the letter. Even if they do, in the case that the content does not catch their attention then there is no way that they will click on the included link.
